RiskIQ protects corporate brands and their customers on the internet. The company combines a worldwide proxy network with synthetic clients that emulate users to monitor, detect and take down malicious and copycat apps, drive by malware and malvertisements. RiskIQ is being used by leading financial institutions and brands in the US to protect their web assets and users from security threats and fraud. We are in San Francisco, backed by growth equity firms Summit Partners and Battery Ventures.
The ideal candidate will be a leader who thrives on delivering world-class systems and has a proven history of running a 24X7 technical operation in the cloud at scale. This leader will need to initially lead a small team and act as both a leader and an individual contributor. They will need to have experience growing a team to deliver world class infrastructure.
Your background includes:
Maintain a 24x7 production cloud based infrastructure supporting RiskIQ's customers. Establish uptime metrics and devise ways to improve them.
Have strong skills in System Administration and implementation of systems
Has experience working in a Linux environment
Effective communicate in and among the organization on system performance
Model infrastructure growth and create plans for meeting that growth.
Support product development through scripts and tools writing
Nurture and support a strong engineering culture: customer focus; excellent technology; high quality
implementations; self-motivated innovation and problem-solving
What RiskIQ is looking for in this role?
The executive must have an entrepreneurial spirit, exhibit a high degree of leadership, and be a strong contributor to an aggressive growth plan. The ideal candidate will possess the following:
BA Degree in Computer Science or similar field (MS is highly desirable)
7+ years of technology operations and management experience. 8+ years of hands on experience with Linux system administration and hosted business applications.
Expert understanding of what it means to run a global large-scale virtualized infrastructure in the Cloud (preferably AWS).
Fundamental knowledge from system administration to system architect.
Managed and scaled a small team.
Positive, enthusiastic attitude with great teamwork and interpersonal skills, reflecting the ability to interact with cross department groups.
Ability to work under pressure and solve problems using an analytical approach; decisive, fast moving; quick and constructive resolutions of conflicts; and a can-do mentality.
