PHP Developer needed for a long term direct client project. Client is Fortune 500, stable and growing
** Local candidates with Local Experience preferred due to in person interviewing. (Local = San Francisco Bay Area) **
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a self-starter, who can design, develop and maintain PHP based in-house tools and backend systems. Candidates should have a proven successful track record and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will work with technical leadership to design and implement new services and improve on existing services and create new services and products.
Required Experience:
-5+ years' experience building web applications with PHP (5.4+) and MySQL.
-2+ years' experience writing HTML, CSS and Javascript.
-Experience with modern PHP frameworks such as Code Igniter, Symphony or Zend.
-Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Jquery, Ember, Angular, or Backbone.
-Experience writing PHP based RESTful APIs and JavaScript RESTful API consumers.
-Experience writing unit tests in both PHP and JavaScript.
-Experience in writing performant SQL through both raw queries and ORMs such as Doctrine (preferred) or Propel.
-Knowledge of PHP infrastructure technology stack (Apache/Nginx, Ubuntu/CentOS, MySQL, Memcache/Redis).
-Knowledge of common design patterns in web development (MVC, MVVM, etc).
-Git (preferred) or SVN.
-Agile methodologies.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Willingness to learn new technologies
