We are looking for a Senior hands on DevOps Engineer to work with us as a part of our DevOps transformation effort that we have undertaken with our direct client. This project is long term. The hands on DevOps engineer will be responsible for delivering optimal solutions in a deployable and scalable environment.
Candidates with local experience preferred due to in person interviewing. (Local = Silicon Valley)
An ideal candidate should have the following skills and experience:
- Significant Kafka setup and DevOps experience or the equivalent (Tibco, Rabbit MQ, etc).
- Experience with Apache, AWS, Kinesis
- Build tools - Maven, Gradle, Ant, etc.
- CI tools - Jenkins and others
- Coding / Scripting - Shell, Python, Groovy and others
- Configuration Management - Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt, etc.
-Infrastructure / Virtualization tools - vCloud, Openstack, Amazon Ec2, Microsoft Azure and others
- Agile Jira, Rally and others
- Understanding of Development Environments that utilize Java, Linux, AWS, NodeJS would be a strong plus.
- Understanding of Java, JMI API or other programming framework would be a plus.
