Systems Software Engineer needed for a long term direct client project. We need a self-starter who can hit the ground running and be productive quickly.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding Thrift implementation in Client's Operating System - with various processes and is implemented in Java, C++ and Python)
- Add and identify debugging + logging techniques that can help clearly identify Thrift related issues.
- Identify if the current implementation of Thrift is optimal and how different it is with the current implementation, propose a need to upgrade the Thrift architecture if need be.
- Document the Thrift architecture as implemented , .i.e. before and after fixing the issues
Skills Qualifications:
- At least 10+ years industry experience with RPC frameworks, server-client architectures.
- Extensive work in Thrift will be extremely valuable and highly desired.
- Solid understanding of multithreading, inter-process communication, locks, etc.
- Solid understanding in TCP/IP and socket programming
- Strong SW troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; ability to create efficient solutions to complex problems.
- Must have expert experience in Java, C++ and Python in the Linux/UNIX programming environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
