JR. Web Designer - 1162
Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is in search of talented junior web designer to join our clients in-house design studio in San Francisco, CA. This is a consulting role that will transition to a permanent opportunity within 3-6 months. The successful candidate will have working knowledge of designing, building, implementing, and maintaining web-based applications, online portals, and internet marketing technologies — with an emphasis on design skills.
The work demands a self-starter with the ability to hit the ground running.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Designs and produces HTML emails, landing pages, and banner ads in various platforms including: Marketo, Outlook, EventFarm, and Campaign Monitor.
* Designs social media graphics.
* Supports and maintains company intranet.
* Designs and produces landing pages and microsites.
* Performs website maintenance as requested.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in web design, multimedia/digital design or related field.
* The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of prior corporate or agency experience in a web design/developer role.
* Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
* Competency in HTML5 and CSS3, HTML, Dreamweaver and Microsoft Office suite
* Understanding of interactive design principles, web usability, email best practices and online marketing needs.
* Familiarity with web trends and best practices for UX/UI design.
* Knowledge of best practices in web usability and design.
* Strong ability to manage deadlines and multiple projects and priorities with internal clients.
* Excellent attention to detail and customer service.
* Excellent oral/written communication skills to clearly convey information to upper management and clients.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Understanding of web analytics.
* Knowledge of search engine optimization best practices related to site architecture, page structure and content creation.
* Knowledge of social media best practices to drive engagement and brand awareness.
* Working knowledge of Drupal.
* Some knowledge of Javascript
* Understanding/knowledge of Schema markup.
Rate:
* D.O.E. as a W2 employee of Crawford Group
Location:
* On-site in San Francisco, CA Hours/Duration: 40 hours a week
