[KIT-list] From Sue: Thank you all for your patience and kindness after our move to the new KIT List email platform!

Hello Everyone,

Whew! We've finished the move to the new email platform on Groups.io after Yahoo Groups ended forever 12/15.

I'm deeply appreciative of all of you who were so gracious and patient during this challenging migration! I was able to save 50% of the member emails by a tedious copy and paste method from the Yahoo Groups database, since they wouldn't let us export the names.

If you do NOT wish to receive KIT List jobs or career resources information, just send an email to:

KIT-List+unsubscribe@groups.io

(spelled out it's "KIT-List+unsubscribe at groups.io")

You can also change your email delivery to "Digest" or "No Email" if you'd rather just view the jobs on the site at https://groups.io/g/KIT-List

I had considered closing the KIT List when Yahoo Groups ended, but with the hardships and job loss for so many during this extended COVID pandemic, I just couldn't do it in good conscience. That's when Kelly and I decided it was worth the effort to find a new platform and continue the KIT List.

The "snarky" emails were hard to deal with, but I understand the frustration of COVID has worn down everyone's patience. The unhappy emails were mercifully few compared to the lovely messages many of you sent of encouragement.

It is for wonderful people like YOU that we're keeping the KIT List going. And your messages really meant more than you know during the many all-nighters I was pulling as I tried to save some of the email addresses for the migration. We got about 50% moved over.

Kelly (my wonderful sister and faithful co-moderator) and I wish you all a very special and HEALTHY Christmas and holiday season. I know that we're looking forward to a brighter 2021 as we bid farewell to this tough and extraordinary year. The silver lining to the almost apocalyptic events of 2020 has been the heroic actions and a million small kindnesses that are a TRUE reflection of the goodness of people when we're under great adversity.

Thank you for being the great people that you are, and the whole KIT List is built on the power of friends helping friends.

Warmly,

Sue and Kelly Connelly
