[KITlist-Tech] Software Engineer (San Francisco, CA)

Our Client is looking for a Software Engineer to enhance our current and future products. The Software Engineer will work with business stakeholders, product managers and development team to design and develop the current and future software applications. This individual will have the responsibility for adopting new Web technologies, re-designing existing Web applications and developing new software products.

Responsibilities:
• Design and develop re-usable Java components and services for our SaaS platform
• Work with product managers to translate business ideas into code with interactive feedback.
• Write exceptional code
• Participate in release and deployment process
• Collaborate with on-site and remote teams to meet business objectives
• Assist in technical documentation of our client code base
• Provide technical support for existing and future products whenever needed

Qualifications:
• 3-5 years experience in software application development
• Strong Java programming skills to impress a team of outstanding programmers
• Ability to think, design and implement solutions using object-oriented programming techniques
• In depth experience developing multi-tiered web applications
• Hands-on experience with Web Services (Apache-Axis/Xfire/CXF) , ORM (Hibernate/IBatis) and and Spring
• Working experience with GUI technologies like Javascript (Jquery, Prototype, YUI) or Adobe Flex.
• Working knowledge of Linux, Apache and Tomcat.
• Good understanding of relational databases and ability to demonstrate proficiency of SQL. (MySQL preferred)
• Ability to work efficiently in a Linux/Unix based environments
• Self-motivated, ability to work as part of a small team in an Agile development environment with minimal supervision
• Good communication skills
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
Preferred Skills:
• Working knowledge of PERL
• Working knowledge of JUnit
• Experience with internationalization, UTF-8, time zones and currencies
• Familiarity with search engine and crawler technologies
