[KITlist-Tech] CONTR: UML Model Maintainer -- Independent Contractor Opportunity (SF Bay Area, CA)

Ongoing Opportunity -- You will work 30-40 hours per month out of your home. Prefer Bay-area candidates, but may be based anywhere in the United States. Work hours are typically early morning (Pacific Time) to align with technical resources residing in Europe. Candidate must supply own PC/laptop, internet access, and phone.

Hourly Rate: $75+/hour, depending upon experience
Start Date: Immediate

You will work for an industry alliance that develops automotive software for In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems. Experience with automotive and/or consumer electronics applications running in a Linux environment is preferred. You must be able to work independently and reliably. Proven productivity can lead to additional hours as the project progresses and as this role becomes permanent. You must have the experience with UML and diagramming tools like Enterprise Architect and be immediately productive with little or no coaching.
You will report to the System Architecture Team Lead and work collaboratively with other team colleagues to define and manage a growing model.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain the trunk and branches of the UML model
• Work with functional leaders to integrate changes to the UML model
• Support users using Sparx Enterprise Architect
• Maintain and enhance existing extensions to Sparx Enterprise Architect
REQUIREMENTS:
• 5 years of software development and 2+ years of hands-on UML experience
• Working knowledge of UML in mid- to large-scale software projects
• Experienced working with Sparx Enterprise Architect (e.g. generating documents, maintenance of extensions, etc.)
• Experience using SVN for maintaining different branches
