Technical Support Specialist
Tableau Software customers love working with our products, and we love helping them achieve amazing results. Technical Support Specialists are natural problem solvers, passionate about customers, curious about technology, and driven to succeed. As a Tech Support Specialist, you will delight customers, work hard, learn a lot, and have fun.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
+ Effectively communicate with customers via email, phone, and other electronic methods to ensure client's effective use of Tableau's products
+ Rapidly diagnose and route incoming cases to appropriate teams
+ Research, reproduce and resolve customer software and technical issues
+ Collaborate with Development and Engineering to escalate support cases and priority customer issues as appropriate
+ Document and maintain program /project records
+ Maintain appropriate case-related files and records, including customer records
+ Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge and Experience
+ Bachelors Degree in technical or quantitative major or equivalent experience
+ Natural problem solver with a curiosity about technology. Able to work flexible hours on a rotating schedule – including evenings, holidays and weekends if necessary
+ Highly creative, curious technologist and problem solver
+ Excellent research skills
+ Strong documentation, verbal and written skills
+ Must have the ability to empathize with customers and convey confidence
+ Strong interpersonal communication skills, including customer service, empathic listening, conflict resolution, presentation and small group facilitation skills
+ Ability to juggle and prioritize a high volume workload and handle details accurately and in a timely manner under pressure
+ Ability to multi-task and handle frequent interruptions
+ Strong organizational skills
+ Database experience a plus
+ Experience in Customer Service or supporting enterprise mission-critical applications a plus

Working Conditions
+ Working conditions are normal for an office environment
+ Ability to sit for moderate periods of time working on a computer
+ Ability to wear telephone headset
