Job Responsibilities

As hardware Applications Engineer you will work with a team of AEs and FAEs as well as core teams for providing the field/customer with product support, design characterization, training and specialist support as well as handle the incoming support queries from the FAEs on a day-to-day basis.

This includes:

· Design in support – both analog and digital hardware experience is imperative

· Issue resolution on a timely basis

· Support FAEs with challenging technical problems in custom designs

· Provide training for the FAEs world-wide, including the development of new training programs

· Generate Application notes as and when necessary

· Ability to work in a cross functional role with both HW and SW

· Design reference systems (Embedded SDKs) for Synaptics capacitive sensing products in embedded devices

· Customer focus – internal and external customers

· Meet customers (internal & external) and participate in effective technical discussions with them

· Have a strong understanding of embedded systems design

o Proficient in C and C++ for embedded environments

o Experience in embedded Operating Systems

· Ability to:

o Experience with system integration and board-level debug/bringup

o Schematic design and PCB layout

o Debug embedded systems with tools such as oscilloscope logic analyses etc.

· Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills

· Willing to do some travel


Required Qualifications

Minimum of Bachelor of Electronic Engineering or equivalent (CS, CE, EE)/ CS degree.
4 – 7 years experience developing embedded products (hardware and software)
