Looking for a Product Manager with eCommerce or Retail eCommerce experience
Position: Technical Product Manager, eCommerce Platform
Location: San Francisco
Duration: 6+ months
Interview process: phone interview followed by an in-person meeting
Description:
The Technical Product Manager is responsible for driving the vision, strategy and development of Client�s global eCommerce Platform. He/she effectively translates business strategies into product strategies, roadmaps and product specifications that deliver against both our core customer benefits and our company strategic and financial goals. The Technical Product Manager acts as the product champion, and is able to evangelize the product vision effectively to senior stakeholders and is able to independently drive to agreement on product requirements and directions.
The Technical Product Manager will work on projects with global capabilities and impact key product decisions through the development lifecycle. This individual is an evangelist for his/her product and has a deep understanding of his/her customers' needs, the product and the competitive landscape. He/she has the confidence and knowledge to successfully own the product and drive the development team. His/her product management experience and understanding of the software development cycle is essential to the successful development of requirements and products.
Responsibilities:
•Manages the evolution of multiple components of a large scale eCommerce platform
•Develops technical product specifications for the architecture of underlying platform components (for example, identity, content management and payment processing)
•Bridge business and technical worlds; good conceptual thinker to articulate opportunities and solutions.
•Define and track product success metrics
•Manages vendor relationships
•Develops and champions a product strategy for one or more complex platform components, and roadmap for one or more platform product areas in support of architectural vision and principles established
•Engage frequently with customers, partners, business and product development teams to synthesize product features.
•Supports product implementation and deployment
•Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects
•Ensures business needs are being met
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related technical field
•7+ years experience in delivering complex software product releases from ideation, preferably as a Product Manager
•Proficient in internet standards & technologies e.g. HTTP, JavaScript, HTML, Cookies, AJAX, JSON, and so on
•Understanding of Commerce domain with emphasis on digital commerce, consumer behavioral trends.
