Sr. .NET / Client Server Engineer
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Duration: 6 months, extendable to 1 year

We are looking for a senior OOPS engineer with a mix of technology skills (not a web developer). Predominant skills in .NET C#, the role is to engineer applications. Should have experience with interfaces to devices, writing algorithms and core architecture.

MUST-Have skills/ Experience:
- 5 + years as a .NET software developer ( must be at least 3 years in C#/.NET Coding); Strong Object Oriented programming skill
- Proven experience in C#/.NET, WCF and having experiences in development:
o Use of REST services and JSON objects
o Successfully built client server applications using web services with a SOAP/RESTful API
- Knowledge and/or Experience consuming REST web services and communicating with external systems.

Big plus
- Big Data experience is preferred but NOT required
- Experience with any of the following is a big plus: Objective C/C++/Java, Python, Cassandra, Hadoop/HBase, Hive


Good-to-Have skills/ experience:
- Experience in open source development
- Nice to have experience in cross platform using Java/C++/Objective C
- Good working knowledge of TCP/IP APIs (Sockets, HTTP, TCP vs UDP)
- Design pattern
- Ability to work in agile development environment with minimal direction.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and flexibility.
- HTML 5, AJAX, XML, JSON, DOM, JQuery or similar technologies
- Relational Database experience like MySQL/MS-SQL
- Experience in Unix/Linux
