Principal Technologist - Internet of Things, Product Technology Team

Location: Alameda, CA or Santa Clara, CA

Wind River is looking for an architect with a passion for the Internet of Things. The IoT architect will be the technical leader for development teams, and will also be engaged in hands-on development of critical parts of products. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in creating an End-to-End solution for connected devices. The position is a part of the team of architects that drive technology for all key Wind River products.

Requirements:

- 10+ years experience in system software development with extensive hands-on experience developing Internet connected devices or Cloud systems. Industrial software experience is highly desirable.
- Linux application development and/or kernel development
- Experience from at least a few of the following areas: User Interfaces, Networking, Cloud Computing, Security, Intel architecture
- RTOS and/or embedded experience, VxWorks is an added value
- Ability to:
- technically lead development teams
- do hands on coding in the product
- technically drive the product
- Strong communications and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a distributed team environment
- BSEE/BSCS/BSCE in Computer Science or equivalent. MSCS/MSEE/MSCE is an asset
