Software Developer for EDA Technology
Our client is an established, private company in Santa Clara. Their niche is SW tools for EDA companies. As they are growing, they are seeking to add a hands-on Software Developer to their team. You will work under the technical direction of the Core Team Leader and the VP of Engineering on development tasks for existing and new infrastructure and design application products. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding product requirements, gathering information, resolving issues, and providing high-performance, high-availability and secure solutions that are scalable. You will be an integral part of the development team with high internal visibility.
Developers will need to work closely with internal teams to define requirements and proactively discuss application infrastructure implications.
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of successful application software development experience. The ideal candidate will have proven analytical skills and the ability to constructively communicate with the extended team.
Specific Duties include
• Understand technology stacks, policies and procedures that Company uses related to their application.
• Develop solution approaches for rapidly adding new features/technologies and refactoring.
• Contribute to team decisions regarding feature design and project sizing.
• Be on point for debugging complex problems.
Required Skills:
• BS or MS in Computer Science or closely related field.
• Proficiency and knowledge with at least 2+ years' experience with C++
• Experience developing state-of-the-art desktop GUIs. WebUI/mobile experience is a plus
• Understanding of software development practices and best practices.
• Excellent Verbal Written Communication Skills
• Ability to work collaboratively.
• Desire and energy to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience developing complex high-performance, high-transaction applications is ideal
Desired Skills:
• Experience with commercial IT or BI solutions a plus.
• Knowledge of RESTful web service technologies is a plus.
• Knowledge of TCL (or other scripting languages) is a plus.
