Our client, a private, direct to consumer manufacturing company, is seeking a Business Analyst. This is a remote position. To be considered, you must reside within the United States and the expectation is that you are available during Pacific Standard Time.
As the Business Analyst, you will guide the company's forward movement by collaborating cross functionally to create KPIs, dashboards, and financial models. You will be a key leader in identifying, implementing, and optimizing new and existing tools and processes. As an important part of the finance team, you will identify opportunities for growth and optimize resource allocation across the business. As the Business Analyst, you will be proactive and independent and a person who can identify issues and drive them to resolution. This role will report to the Vice President of Strategic Finance.
Responsibilities:
• Assess current business processes and tools and then identify, recommend, and implement improvements
• Analyze financial data and key business metrics to deliver actionable insight to the finance and operational teams
• Collaborate with the data team in leading the development and management of metrics, KPIs, and dashboards. Utilize this data to drive financial reporting and analyses
• Optimize and implement standard financial processes and templates (annual planning, quarterly forecasting, variance analyses, unit economics, headcount reporting, etc.) and tools (EPM, Commissions, etc.) as the business evolves and grows
• Provide financial support for ad-hoc and recurring events including weekly senior leadership meetings, monthly all-hands, board presentations, quarterly business reviews, and other high-level meetings
• Develop deep partner relationships across the organization
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Business or Finance
• 3+ years of experience in finance, economics, accounting, consulting, or analytics
• Strong ability to be proactive and work independently
• Experience working with SQL and building data pipelines
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills with experience in building complex financial models
• Strong presentation skills, especially related to the creation and communication of executive-level content
• Superb interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships cross functionally
• Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and flexibility to manage competing and changing priorities
• An aptitude for financial modeling and communication skills that brings the business story to life
• Experience in developing and improving processes
• High integrity and accountability
• Experience with NetSuite a plus
• Experience with Retail CRMs (Salesforce, etc.) a plus
