Sr. Oracle DBA/ Database Developer
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are currently seeking a Sr. Oracle DBA/ DB Developer to partner with the organization to: * Build database(s); maintain database baselines, support application requirements, testing and implementations for transactional data and incorporation into financial records.
* Daily reconciliation of multiple transactional data sources, identify data inconsistencies, perform validation * Analyze and resolve, or recommend solutions to highly complex technical problems such as performance issues, integration of object-oriented relational database technology, data quality issues * Lead or participate in modeling initiatives (object, logical) and data analysis * Prepare status reports to accurately communicate progress; provide early notification of problems that could affect schedules, or the integrity or availability of data * To be effective in this role, the Senior Database Administrator must stay abreast of state-of-the-art technologies in database technology and data management practices, and must be able to create efficiencies and develop a long term plan to enhance performance and increase process automation.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience including building objects and maintaining production environments * 5+ years of experience in Relational database concepts, relational logical modeling, best practices, and physical design * 7+ years of experience in the IT industry, including full life cycle methodology, standard office products such as Word, Excel, Access, and some application development.
* Hands on experience with Oracle 10g/11g, JAVA, PL/SQL, SQL, XML, SAP, data warehousing implementation, ETL processes, OLTP, OLAP, data mart, transformations, data mining and reporting using Informatica Power Center 5.x/6.x/7.x, 8.x, Oracle, MS SQL Server, Cognos and Business Objects.
* BS and/or MS degree in Computer Science or a related field * Expertise in working with High volume, and High Transaction databases * Expertise in Database Conversions from MS-SQL Server to Oracle, SAP to Oracle etc.
* Expertise in requirements gathering and Database Modeling using the various tools * Expertise in Project Management from conceptualization through to its implementation using various tools and practices.
* Knowledge of S-OX procedures and implementations to comply with the regulations * Expertise in fine tuning databases for optimal performance

Shows respect for individuals in all situations. Reacts with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require quick response and turnaround. Can build effective working relationships inside and outside the asset team. Ability to solve routine problems quickly and effectively. Can maintain strict confidentiality with privileged information.
PROCESS: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ability to administer a large number of parallel processes, ability to compile and effectively analyze industry and project related data.
ANALYSIS & PLANNING: Strong understanding of Financial accounting. Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills demonstrating the ability to understand key financial drivers of the business. Solid understanding of financial and technical operations and reporting. Ability to define a project goal, outline issues pertaining to attainment of that goal, make a recommendation regarding course of action, and implement that course of action successfully.
INDUSTRY: Experience in the Internet or media industries helpful, but not required
