Title : Level 1 Network Security Support Engineer
Location: Pleasanton, CA
Duration: 6+ Months (Open to contract-to-hire)
Looking for Support Engineer to identify and provide first level support for all security alert. The successful candidate must have experience with working in Network Operations Center (NOC).
In this role, the candidate will provide monitoring and support for both client applications, UNIX based systems. Provide Level 1 shift support on both the development and production environment.
Job Responsibilities:
•Monitor the Intrusion Detection systems for any security alerts
• First response resolution of all security alerts and problem reports
• Problem ticket creation, processing and queue management
• Identifying the security and coordinating with Level 2 and Level 3 support team for resolving the priority issues
• Technical chat, technical call or bridge management and facilitation
• Escalate all security and network issues to documented escalation matrix
• Available to work in grave yard shift and 24X7 support
Requirements:
• At least 3 years of experience with supporting Network security for high availability environment
• Experience with large NOC
• Experience with Juniper or Cisco IDS
• Experience with supporting Linux environment
• Understanding of TCP/IP
• Experience with creating and monitoring Firewall
• Excellent Communication skills
