Duties

-Supports design, programming or testing of one or more applications.

-Responsible for creating and maintaining application and system documentation used in design, testing or programming efforts.

- Maintains expertise in installation, design, configuration or specialized testing for supported applications.

- Applies knowledge of the users. operations, integration into IT standards and processes, and specialized training in the applications. use.

- Leads application improvements.

- Assists with the development IT standards and processes.

- Responsible for maintaining multiple applications or several areas within a single application.

- References and understands application and system documentation to support design, testing or programming efforts without assistance from more experienced IT specialists.

- Develops new documentation as necessary.

-Develops multiple areas of expertise in installation, design, configuration or specialized testing.

- Applies knowledge of the users. operations, integration into IT standards and processes, and specialized training in the applications.

-Maintains certification in industry standard toolsets.

Skills
-7-9 years of Design and Development using Java, J2EE, JSP, XML, Portal Technology etc.
-Hands-on development and implementation of web content (XHTML, XML, XSLT, CSS, JS, AJAX).
-Experienced in making IT infrastructure recommendations for network and multi-tiered applications.
-Knowledge of UTF-8, Globalization & Localization.
-Experienced in using Microsoft Office Tools, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, etc.
-Experienced in using organizational collaboration tools like MS Sharepoint and Internal Wikis.

Education
-Bachelor´s degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience required

RELATED EXPERIENCE DESIRED

-6-8 years in IT application support positions with high-level problem solving and technical project management experience.
-Ability to solve problems quickly, automate processes, prior experience in leading technical peers, and contributing to planning and technical design.
Demonstrates in depth and broad range knowledge of multiple application toolsets.
-Experience with advanced concepts of coding and SLDC processes and procedures.
-Requires certification in current industry development tools and standards.
