Job Title: - UNIX Perl/CGI/Php/C++ Developer/Engineer
Location: - Sunnyvale CA
Rate: - DOE/ hrs. On W2 (along with Medical and basic insurance)
Duration: - 4 months++ (possible contract to hire)
Summary:
•Good understanding of in UNIX / Linux system fundamentals.
•7- 10 years of experience in supporting Solaris, Solaris 10 Global zones, RHEL and AIX systems.
•Must have excellent programming skills in Shell scripting , Perl , CGI , php, C++ to develop custom tools to meet business needs
•Effective troubleshooting skills and practical experience in dealing with legacy Unix applications written Shell and Perl.
•Must have exceptional knowledge of Unix based Core services - DNS, DHCP, DDNS, NIS, Sendmail, FTP, etc.
•Must have working experience in appliance based DNS Servers and MAIL gateways. Preferably Infoblox NIOS and Cisco Ironports
•Excellent debugging skills in distributed environments like Solaris, Solaris Global zones, ESX VMware, RHEL , AIX
•Good knowledge of network protocols
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to work collaboratively with other Engineers in team to meet aggressive goals
•Support escalations from Level 3 operations and provide resolutions on Unix Core services DNS, DHCP , NIS and Mail
•May need to help with any Windows 2003/2008 OS issues as part of Core services team
•Willing to work extended hours if needed
•Knowledge of storage is a plus
•This is a consulting position but expected to be fulltime (40 hours per week)
