Marin Software, a San Francisco (Financial District/Soma) software start-up seeks an experienced and talented senior graphic designer to bolster our creative department. Our design group (3 of us) works on UI design, flash tours, videos, banners, magazine ads, brochures, and other kinds of marketing collateral.

We are looking for a seasoned vet with 3-10 years of experience with a sharp-looking portfolio to match. Inane pop-cultural reference ability appreciated, but not mandatory... well maybe, kind of.

Responsibilities
•Be a major contributor to our multiple web properties – plan, design, and code for page updates, new sections, new features and functionality
- Conceptualize and design flash banners, email, and landing pages
- Code your work
- Design UI/UX elements for our products
- Design, record, and edit flash and video product tours and help overviews
- Design marketing deliverables including: collateral, sales sheets, tradeshow environmentals, magazine advertisements, and ppts
- You´ll get to do the cool stuff, but we also chip in on production work every once in a while. There are 3 of us here. and we help each other out.

Requirements
- Online portfolio
- Minimum 3 years design experience- User Interface / User Experience background
- Demonstrate a solid sense of design, layout and typography
- Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, InDesign)
- Video/Audio/rich media experience
- Very strong HTML, CSS (and javscript) skills with demonstrable knowledge of frameworks and real-world challenges
- Must be intimately familiar with current Web Standards, cross-browser issues, and the distinction between graceful degradation and progressive enhancement
- Turn jobs around quickly and accurately
- Have excellent interpersonal and communicative skills
- Be able to balance great design with tight deadlines
- Highly organized and able to work on concurrent projects
- Ability to produce results independently and in a team environment
- Strong conceptualization skill a must
- Bachelor´s degree in design or equivalent experience

Pluses
- 2+ years working at sr. designer or art director level
- Skill in illustration and creating icons
- Feel comfortable collaborating with technical staff (engineers and product managers)
- Familiarity with Windows, FTP, CVS, Filemaker, Word, Powerpoint and Excel
- Writing and marketing experience
- 3D design
- Start-up, corporate or agency experience
- Flex, Wordpress, PHP, jQuery, ext JS
