We are looking for a IT Infrastructure Architect for a high technology company in the enterprise software, hardware and services space. The IT Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for architecting and managing infrastructure related projects for the clients.
The role will manage the delivery of infrastructure services and will be accountable from gathering requirements and implementing solutions by working with cross functional teams
This is a 12 months, 40 hours per week, onsite role in Sunnyvale CA.
This is a w-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions' employee.
Responsibilities
- Defines and architects IT infrastructure projects and manages the delivery of all necessary infrastructure components
- Gathers and understands business requirements and develops detailed technical project plans and schedules
- Develops project plans and leads different stakeholder and teams in plan execution
- Charters projects, determines scope definition, develops plans, verifies with business owners, and manages change control
- Conducts weekly team and status meetings and reports status and tracking support to management
Requirements:
- 5-8 years experience in designing and architecting IT infrastructure projects related to Linux, Virtualization and Storage.
- Good working knowledge of all functional areas of IT including infrastructure, RHEL and Windows OS, network, NAS, Virtualization, firewalls, load balancers etc.
- Strong coordination, multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and spoken interpersonal communication skills
- Pro-active. Ability to take ideas/feedback and turn into action.
- 5% travel may be required
- BS Degree
