OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated professional with excellent analytical skills to join our growing finance/accounting team to assist the VP, Finance with building out the FP&A function and provide analytical/decision support to our management team. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the preparation of the annual operating plan, quarterly forecast and long-range plan in ensuring alignment with corporate goals 
  • Perform financial analysis and management reporting to functional teams on strategic planning, budgeting, operations planning and budget vs actual variance analysis
  • Implement FP&A software and data automation projects 
  • Perform analysis of standard product costs, labor and overhead allocations and profit margins
  • Provide financial support for growth initiatives including product development, research partnerships/collaborations, commercialization and capital expenditure projects  
  • Support monthly/quarterly financial close activities and financial audits 
  • Participate in FP&A initiatives including identifying opportunities for process improvements 
  • Other duties as assigned 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in FP&A 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial modeling skills
  • Advanced Excel skills, Google Suite and MS office Suite 
  • Knowledge of financial systems – NetSuite, Adaptive, or similar
  • Experience with financial system implementation 
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles
  • High attention to detail and capability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA 
  • Experience in Life Sciences sector
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
