Technical Consultant - Enterprise Cloud Storage
Responsibilities
Advise CIO/CTO level contacts and their IT teams as they look to move their business to a cloud architecture
Understand the customer need and establish Oxygen as the best solution that addresses the technical and business requirements
Present demos that articulate the value of Oxygen Cloud and specifically show how the solution would work in the customer environment
Collaborate with Sales and prospects/customers to deploy Proof of Concepts as well as production environments
Present Oxygen's technology infrastructure, including demonstrating deep familiarity with company's hosting infrastructure, security and integration capabilities
Conduct technical workshops and education sessions
Manage customer technical due diligence and risk management processes
Respond effectively to RFP's and technical requirements documents
Participate in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural training and certification to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in the position
Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management
Willing and able to travel domestically & internationally
Experience/Skills Required
B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience
A good understanding of the architectural principals of web based platforms including SaaS, multi-tenancy, multi-tiered infrastructure and application servers
Understanding current market cloud offerings and ability to discuss cloud architectures
Principals of network, application and information security including processes, standards & issues involved in multi-tier, multi-tenant web applications
Previous experience as a sales engineer / technical architect for an enterprise application or platform company
Solid oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied political environments
Preferred Experience/Skills
Previous IT Management, Systems Administration or Network Administration experience
Previous development experience (Java, C++, C#, JavaScript, AJAX)
A good understanding of enterprise application integration
