JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Java Server Software Developer with the leading independent provider of Big Data Risk Management solutions for Governance and Security programs, your role will be to design and develop innovative application logic and database software layers. Candidates will lead in the design and implementation of our RiskVision platform and applications which are built on top of the latest J2EE technology. Developers in this position will work closely with Product Managers and Subject Matter Experts to help define and implement the features.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Design and development of the flagship product Agiliance RiskVision to deliver compelling use cases.
•Expand the scope, scale, performance, and reliability of the product.
•Use judgment, creativity and sound technical knowledge to obtain and recommend solutions.
•Implement enhancements for new releases and provide improvements and fixes to existing versions.
•Develop and perform unit testing of your code before releasing to QA.
•Interact with management, quality assurance, product management, documentation, support and professional services teams.
•Coordinate and work with offshore team members as part of a distributed development team.
•Develop in Java and SQL using MySQL and Oracle databases, using an Agile development process.
REQUIREMENTS
•Experience in the development of scalable, high performance application software.
•Excellent working knowledge of Java, J2EE, SQL, and XML.
•Strong working knowledge of application servers like Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere or JBoss.
•Strong working knowledge of MySQL and/or Oracle.
•Experience with object to SQL performance optimization.
•Experience with Spring Framework and/or workflow frameworks such as jBPM is a plus.
•Experience with Web Services (SOAP, JAXB, REST) is a plus.
•Experience with reporting frameworks like Jaspersoft or Tableau is a plus.
•Solid knowledge and application of engineering concepts.
•Understands development methodology and development life-cycle.
•Problem solving capabilities and analytical skills.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in person and by telephone.
•Ability to work in a team environment.
•Enthusiasm to learn new tools and technologies.
•Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent).
•Openings at all experience levels.
LOCATION
The position is based at Agiliance�s headquarters in Sunnyvale, California.
COMPENSATION
Compensation package consistent with stage of company and individuals track record will include cash compensation (base and variable), benefits, and equity.
