Department Description
The Oracle VM (OVM) Server is a fast-paced team developing the server components of the Oracle VM: a hypervisor based, agent-managed, x86 server virtualization environment. The OVM Server team is responsible for the hypervisor, kernel, hypervisor management stack and agent interface which is accessed by Oracle VM Manager. This includes management of virtual machines and of all of the physical resources owned by the server.The OVM Server team works closely with the OVM Manager UI and OVM Core API teams during product development and testing. The team also works closely with other internal and external customers of the OVM solution.

As part of the Virtualization organization, we are designing and building Oracle�s newest Cloud infrastructure technologies. We�re looking for experienced software engineers willing to work in a fast paced, agile environment in order to build potentially industry changing applications and services.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing Java software
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in WebLogic
- Working experience on Linux and/or Solaris
- Foundational understanding of Cloud computing, virtualization, and hypervisors
- Experience in web services, XML, REST, and SNMP a highly desired plus
- OracleDB and SQL knowledge a plus
- Additional programming languages such as Perl, Tcl/expect, BASH a plus
- Experience with test automation a plus
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Willingness to experiment and take risks
- Willingness to work in an ambiguous and fluid environment
