[KITlist-Tech] App Developer/Documentation Tools Developer (SF Bay Area, CA)

Please direct your responses to: mredmond@steyer.net

(v1.08 - 1431106000) - Our client is seeking a skilled developer with a strong background in documentation production and validation tools for a 6 month contract to hire position. In this role, you will manage our client's documentation production infrastructure and help them transition to an XML-based environment.

Our client's current documentation system uses Adobe FrameMaker, FrameScript, and WebWorks ePublisher to generate nightly builds of our HTML and PDF deliverables. The server also performs sophisticated analyses of content and sends individualized validation reports to each writer, enabling us to find and fix problems early.

They are planning to move to DITA and will need to build new templates for their content and port their build and validation functionality to the new system. We are looking for a documentation tools developer to help our client plan and implement this transition. This role requires a good understanding of and experience working with XML and DITA Open Toolkit.
