Product Manager – IT Services
Location: Remote or Clear Lake, Iowa
Our client is a leader is IT Service Optimization specializing in capacity planning techniques, including analytic modeling, simulation modeling and trending. This is a new Product Manager position reporting into the Director of Product Management.
If you have excellent knowledge of IT methodologies and tools and at least 5 years of experience as a Product Manager, these tasks will look pretty familiar to you:
- Define product requirements and oversee product planning and execution throughout the product life cycle.
- Analyze existing and new technologies, market developments, and competition in order to develop product requirements.
- Assist Sales, Professional Service, and Corporate Marketing with customer needs.
- Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, define product vision, and work closely with engineering to ensure requirements are met.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Product Architects in a Sales Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.
- Track market trends and competitive offerings as well as interface with customers and sales to drive product direction and ensure capabilities are meeting market need and satisfying our customers.
Before you send in your resume, make sure that your background includes:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience; advance degree is preferred.
- 5-9 Years of product management experience in a software development company.
- Excellent knowledge of IT methodologies and tools.
- Five or more years of experience in computer science or IT management.
- Ability to understand and communicate technology-based requirements and solutions.
- Excellent oral and written communication and ability to work with various groups including customers, sales, engineering, and marketing.
- Ability to create business strategies and to implement them.
