Position: AS/400 Computer Operator/Administrator
Duration: 3 months; possibility of CTH
Start date: ASAP
Pay Rate: DOE

Job Responsibilities:
• Maintain the AS/400 machines to provide reliable tape backups and job execution, database mirroring and maintain high availability per business needs as well as maintaining the development server.
• Manage AS/400 system operations, apply PTF´s, install OS upgrades, track/report AS/400 resource utilization.
• Monitor AS/400 logs, system messages, perform troubleshooting and update operations documentation.
• Respond to alerts, messages and pages.
• Recommend initiatives and execute projects to meet business operational requirements.
• Define and implement and administer backup tape management procedures and documentation Administer AS/400 utilities, potential shift hours offsets.

Required Skills:
• 5-10 years of experience in AS/400 systems administration and operational support.
• Expertise in AS/400 architecture and internals.
• Expertise in AS/400 Operations and configurations
• Excellent communication, analytical and user interaction skills.
