Memolane is seeking a Lead Back-End Engineer who will have responsibility for
managing, maintaining and updating Memolane's infrastructure, and developing
the backend application in order to solve complex development obstacles.
Memolane creates a visual timeline of your social feeds, centralizing your online
presence and allowing you to see, search and share your memories. You will be
working with an exceptional team on an exciting new concept that we believe will
change the way people perceive their online identity and will give them a holistic
view of their online social life

This is a unique opportunity to use your skills on a complex, high traffic web
application dealing with large amounts of data.

About you:
• Active in social media
• Have contributed to Open Source software
• Structured approach to developing and project management
• Prefers user feedback and metric driving decision making
• Likes challenging problems and finding unique solutions
• Active at regional developer meetups

Skills:
• Ruby and Sinatra
• Linux setup and deployment
• Web standards like OAuth
• GIT
• PostgreSQL and Redis
• Some familiarity with Javascript

Responsibilities:
• Maintaining and extending code for backend
• Managing agile technical team
• Managing server and database administration
• Managing automated testing suite
• Integrating the outside APIs

Details:
Location: Union Square, San Francisco
Term: A Full time position starting immediately
