This position requires the candidate to work closely with the various business units, architecture and the quality assurance team. The candidate is expected to be a self-starter and team player, a strong driver for results and continuous improvement. The candidate should be technology savvy with solid track record on scalable framework design. Responsibilities include
- Architect and design the new Payment Planning System to meet the long term business needs.
- Development and support Payment Planning product features throughout all phases of the development cycle.
- Define, design, and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software applications. Segment and design system layers to support componentized and layered application development, including user interface, business logic functionality, and database/component repository access.
- Work with other engineers, managers, Product Management, QA, and Operations teams to develop innovative solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to development goals and principles.
- Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and rollout system changes.
- Must be able to independently design, code and test complex features, as well as lead small project teams
- Provide mentorship to team members in design and coding techniques.
- Identify and make recommendations to reduce project risks.
- Share release management duties on feature rollouts, share on-call responsibilities
- Ability to lead project involving cross vertical integration
- Ability to find and help fix performance & scalability issues in a very time critical environment
Job Requirements:
- BS/BA in CS or related field.
- 8+ years experience in requirements analysis, design, development and unit test of scalable, distributed, multi-tiered, and service oriented applications.
- 5+ years experiences in object-oriented design methodology and application development in C++
- Experience in defining infrastructure frameworks or system layering and componentization.
- Working knowledge of relational databases (prefer Oracle), XML, HTTP/HTML, XSLT and NT/UNIX systems.
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing large server software with particular attention to componentized and service oriented design, scalability and high performance.
- Experience as project lead
- Strong communication skill.
- Strong business and technical vision.
- Strong presentation and leadership skills.
- Proven results oriented person with a delivery focus
- Knowledge and experience in transactional payment processing is a plus.
This is an onsite, 6+ month contract (will likely go for at least 1 yr), and we have 5 contracts available, so are looking for 5 solid local C++ developers
