#KI4.36 Pre-Sales Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Pre-Sales Engineer will provide technical and consultative leadership for solution based selling opportunities in the Western US market areas. Agiliance has proven technology, leadership product position among analysts, referenceable customers, a strong management team and stellar investors to be the market leader. The Pre-Sales Engineer is expected to collaborate with Sales, Professional Services, Partners and other groups to promote revenue potential as well as to apply the appropriate technical approach to client engagements during the presales process and guides presales technical activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Develop detailed Agiliance product, industry and competitive solution knowledge
* Perform product presentations and product demonstrations
* Provides technical qualification of sales opportunities in the terms of customer technical requirements and competition
* Leads the technical portions of RFI and RFP responses
* Enables and supports partner technical leads and solution consultants
* Assists the Sales Team to develop and implement specific solution selling strategies, produce opportunity specific product, service and sales plans.
* Leverages knowledge of competitive solutions to effectively address and dispel customer objections
* Configures and documents Agiliance software, solutions to meet customer and sales objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

* At least 5 years of enterprise software solution pre-sales; security software experience is a plus
* Must have solid SQL, HTML and Java technical skills
* Understanding of IT control standards such as NIST SP800-53 and ISO 27002 is a plus
* CISSP, CISA and/or CISM certifications a plus
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* BS CS or equivalent degree
* A preference for hands-on, quality-oriented work style where attention to detail is imperative
* Ability to work in a team
* Ability to build and manage complex relationships in complex organizations
* A quick study, one who has the ability to thrive in an environment responsive to and inspired by new ideas.
* Open and direct communication skills; articulate speech and good listening skills.
* A high energy level, comfortable with multi-tasking.
* A professional of unquestionable integrity, credibility and character who has demonstrated high moral and ethical behavior.
* A self-starter who has initiative and staying power.

LOCATION

The position is based in New York, NY, or the Northeast U.S.

COMPENSATION

Compensation package consistent with stage of company and individuals track record will include cash compensation (base and variable), benefits and equity.
