QA and Automation Engineer – Mobile Appstore Team

We have teams developing and building Websites, Large Distributed Systems, Mobile Applications, and Business Intelligence & Analytics.
We are focused on building a world-class retail and developer experience. The Quality Assurance Engineering team is responsible for the development and maintenance of manual and automated testing and test frameworks for teams in the a2z organization. As part of this fast paced team, you will be responsible for the quality of all software components. The successful candidate will be someone that likes to break things, understand why and is able to jump right in and own the product.
Specifically, you will:
• Assist in building tools and frameworks for automated testing.
• Write test plans and design test cases
• Follow best practices; including a variety of different testing protocols and tools
• Perform black box and white box testing
• Execute performance and stress testing
• Work closely with the development team to assure test coverage
• Promote QA productivity through automation, tools, and other best practices
Basic Qualifications:
• 2-5 years experience in a similar position.
• Experience developing high quality test plans and test cases
• Proficient with functional, performance and stress testing.
• Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language for the purpose of writing test scripts.
• Experience with black box testing.
• Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in Computer Science
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills and an ability to come up with creative solutions to impossible-to-solve problems
• Ability to write SQL queries.
• Past success with being a forward thinker and an advocate for the customer
• Extremely organized
• Experience with white box testing.
• Proven past experience successfully handling triage
• Experience with test automation and tools
• Experience with customer facing applications
• Past experience with mobile application testing
