[KITlist-Tech] Senior Technical Writer (Santa Clara, CA)

We are looking for a Senior Technical Writer for a contract role at a cutting edge technology startup in network functions virtualization space. The Senior Technical Writer will be responsible for creating all technical publications for beta and potentially, GA release of software product.

This is initially, a 2-3 month contract, at about 20 to 40 hours per week of work. Extensions will be likely as the product moves to GA release. Must be available for periodic meetings at the client�s office in Santa Clara, CA. This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions' employee.

Responsibilities:
•Create all technical documents including installation, configuration, user and troubleshooting guides, solutions briefs, release notes, data sheets etc. for beta and potentially, GA release of the product.
•Create PDF and HTML version of documents.
•Create content for online help within the product.
•Work with internal teams to develop and deliver technical publications.
•Understand the product by installing prototypes and attending customer demos.

Requirements:
•8+ years of technical writing experience for virtualization or networking products.
•Good technical background in building and configuring technical authoring systems.
•Must have worked in startup environment.
•Strong ability to interface with engineers and product management teams.
•Good understanding of networking and virtualization technologies.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.
•Passion for learning new technologies.
