OTM seeking a Software Developer, Test-SM/UI for an excellent start up with cutting edge technology and venture backing. Full time/permanent opportunity. Salary negotiable DOE.
**Local candidates with local experience preferred (Local = San Francisco Bay Area)**
Responsibilities:
•Analyze product requirements specifications, functional specifications and prepare a detailed functional test specification and execute to this.
•Prepare a detailed capability matrix to map capabilities to functional requirements to the test plan, for defining the acceptance criteria and ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
•Independently design and document detailed performance test cases to cover all levels of test, including: performance, and scalability under load/stress.
•Effectively employ automation of REST API�s to test backend system management capabilities.
•Automation of UI components to scale testing.
•Analyze reported defects to assess severity and prioritize them for development to fix.
•Interact with software developers to tune code and track all problem reports to closure.
Requirements:
•BS or MS in Computer Science
•3 – 5 years of QA / software development
•Experience in architecting and implementing a test strategy with strong emphasis on System management and UI automation.
•Strong experience with Selenium, HTML, REST and UNIX automation.
•Experience in storage systems troubleshooting and integration (NAS appliance a plus).
•Knowledgeable with common scripting languages (Python, Perl)
•Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
•**Advanced experience with programming and scripting is required
