[KITlist-Tech] Programmer - Internet security (San Francisco, CA)

Please direct your responses to: https://hire.jobvite.com/j?cj=oRou0fwt&s=Craigslist_Engineering

We are a small startup focused on detecting criminal behavior on the internet on behalf of our clients. We're growing extremely fast and need to hire across the board in order to scale the business. We're looking for sales engineers, programmers, sys ops, and data analysts. Reasons you would be interested in working for us include:

* Fascinating work. Welcome to the underbelly of the internet. We detect and expose malware and viruses, exploit kits, botnets, affiliate fraud, advertising fraud and illicit mobile apps, among other things. It's a golden age of internet criminality and we're at the forefront of the defense.

* Growth industry. Internet security is a global growth industry and the domain knowledge you acquire will be a marketable skill for decades to come. Security breaches are now front page news - Anthem, Home Depot, Sony. The market for security is projected to grow at $6 billion year over year.

* A company going somewhere. We have a proven business model - proven because we became profitable after our first year of existence and have grown profits every year since. Our client list reads like the hollywood A-list of tech and financial Fortune 50 companies.

* Unparalleled co-worker talent. I've been programming 20 years and am, if I may say so, a damn good programmer. But our CTO makes me look like a preschooler - he's far and away the best engineer I've ever met. If you want to work with the best, he's your man. Similarly, our CEO is an industry expert whose domain knowledge is unbelievably vast. Both sweat knowledge from all their pores and it's all yours if you're able to soak it up.

* Internal opportunity. We're small and growing. We barely have an org chart, no defined roles to box you into. You'll be given as much responsibility as you can handle and there is constantly more responsibility available for consumption because we're growing so fast. Want to design a new data center from the ground up? Or architect a big data back end to double our storage and analysis capabilities to triple figure terabytes? It's yours if you're capable.

* Flexibility. Prove yourself and pull your weight and we don't care where, when or how often you work. I spend a month each year working from the beach in Hawaii. You will undoubtedly have a large workload, but also the freedom to accomplish it under your own terms.

We're looking for employees who are capable of learning and figuring things out themselves. Mentorship is available, but you will often be on your own. We prize prior experience in our domain - internet security - as well as in the specific tasks - big data, java webapp programming, sales engineering, etc. However, we want talent above experience - if you can demonstrate the ability to learn, then we'll consider you. We are a java, spring, mysql, linux platform.

Apply at https://hire.jobvite.com/j?cj=oRou0fwt&s=Craigslist_Engineering

Key words: programmer programmers engineer engineers sys ops sysops devops techops systems operations systems engineers data analysts javascript java spring mysql linux systems administration backbone.js angularjs ember.js html css solr elastisearch c++ unix python ruby bash sysadmin hadoop cassandra puppet cobbler aws architect front end back end gce centors ubuntu mysql
