Title: Release Program Manager
Location: Palo Alto
Length: 6 months C-H
Kforce has a client seeking a Senior Release Program Manager in Palo Alto, California (CA). Overview: As a technical Program Manager the successful applicant will have the operative responsibility of several projects that are part of the most elite innovation program. Some of the projects will be starting from concept while others are already in-flight. To be successful, the ideal candidate will need to have a deep understanding of system design and software development ideally having hands-on development skills and having worked in a development or test management role with being able to understand complex concepts and work across multiple functions and teams. Day-to-day duties will include:
* Working with a team to plan the program and projects, tracking progress against milestones and managing resources
* Provide any needed support to engineering teams from coaching them into R&D mindset to making sure critical info is delivered both across the team and to executives and facilitating meetings
* Will be working on Projects that have 100 to 1000 Engineers aligned to them * Interact with quality assurance, product management and engineering
Required Skills
* BS hopefully with CS
* 5+ years of Program Management experience running complex large and small programs
* Experience in software project management, deep knowledge of software development processes, challenges, and culture; ideally familiar with both Agile (Scrum, Lean Startup) and Waterfall methodologies and able to apply them where best suited
* Experience with being a PM in a core Engineering or R&D team
* Background in Engineering previous to being a Program Manager
