Senior Software Engineer needed for long term project work for Fortune 500 Client Company.
Client Company is stable, public, and growing. Engineer must have a proven track record in developing high quality software for large scale distributed systems.

Job Description:
Develop large scale customer facing web applications used by hundreds of millions of users on Web (Desktop, Mobile). This is a hands-on role requiring design and development of complex software systems to support existing and new product features. The individual will be doing product development in a fast paced agile environment.
Responsibilities will include:
• Design and develop large scale distributed applications
• Design and develop highly scalable and reliable web application Design
• Develop RESTFUL web services and expose to enterprise wide consumers
• Collaborate with other engineers on code reviews, internal infrastructure, and process enhancements.
Required Skills/Experience:
• Minimum of 8+ years experience in software development.
• Strong object oriented programming and design skills
• Experience with distributed systems and service oriented architectures
• Knowledge of open source application servers like Tomcat or JBoss
• Very good experience with Java (J2EE / J2SE) and related technologies: Spring Framework, JUnit/Testing
• Extensive experience in implementing Restful web services
• Experience with different caching techniques: Memcached, Squid-cache
• Experince with NoSQL databases: Cassandra, Riak, MongoDB, Couchbase
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and design patterns
• Experience in building secure web applications
• A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
