If you haven't yet done so, please consider joining the KIT Resource List. I created this separate list so I can send out event info, job fairs and career resource information out so I can keep the KIT List and KIT Tech List focus solely on actual job postings.
I just posted notices about three different events that are coming up in the next week that are excellent for job seekers and for those who want to take charge their careers.
1. This Saturday, 6/21, Menlo Park Presbyterian Church Career Action Center is hosting an event with two expert speaker on "How to start your own business in the Silicon Valley."
2. Some spots are available for ProMatch's orientation Wednesday, 6/27, and Wednesday 7/2 in Sunnyvale, CA, ProMatch is a free program that is an excellent resource for training professionals to have better resumes, LinkedIn profiles and using LinkedIn effectively, learning how to network for results, and have access career coaches.
3. On Saturday, 6/28, there's a Career and Leadership Summit in Danville, CA. The event will feature Jason Womack, Productivity Coach and author of "Your Best Just Got Better" as well as Dale Kaye, CEO of Tri-Valley Innovation Group and the Livermore Chamber of Commerce.
