We've been helping our client develop their engineering team since 2006. With corporate HQ in Silicon Valley, they are a growing medical imaging technology company with US based manufacturing.
We seek an engineer who will be responsible for design and development activities associated with flat panel monitors for use in medical environments. You must have a strong mechanical design background and be proficient with CAD software. Prior experience with plastic injection molded, die-cast, sheet-metal fabrication, and machined parts is required.
You will report directly to the Mechanical Engineering Manager and be responsible for mechanical design of flat panel monitors for use in medical environments. You will also generate design documentation using SolidWorks and AutoCAD for drawings and MS Office for documentation and provide technical support for manufacturing on an as-needed basis.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
� B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, and 5 years direct mechanical design experience
� 5+ years of experience in SolidWorks
� 3+ years of experience in AutoCAD, version 2000 or later
� 5+ years of experience in designing plastic injection molded parts
� 5+ years of experience in designing die-cast, machined parts and sheet-metal fabrication
� Must have experience and be proficient with ANSY 14.5 dimensioning as well as material selection
