We've been helping our client develop their engineering team since 2006. With corporate HQ in Silicon Valley, they are a growing medical imaging technology company with US based manufacturing.
We seek an engineer who will work with other engineers on the development and maintenance of the control boards and other related hardware used in display products which are deployed at hospitals and clinics and provide best-in-class rendering of medical images.
The successful candidate's responsibilities include:
� Design PCBs using Orcad schematic capture
� Spice simulation
� Design complex power supplies systems
� Select and evaluate electronic parts, components and integrated circuitry
� Implement HDMI, DVI, Display Port, USB, I2C, Ethernet, RS-232, LVDS, etc
� Implement DDR memory, Flash, FPGA circuits
� High speed board design
� Analyze equipment failures and conduct tests to identify point of failure and conduct root cause analysis
� May also review vendor capability in support of product development and improvement
� BSEE degree required, MSEE a plus
� A minimum of 5 years hardware design is required
� Interface with FPGA, Software and Firmware engineers
� Demonstrated successful implementation of low EMI board layout and component designs
ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
� Familiarity with Verilog and VHDL
� Demonstrated success using logic analyzers, scopes, meters, etc
� Demonstrated familiarity with schematic capture and layout programs
� Familiarity with medical design documentation requirements is a plus
� Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
� Demonstrated success working both independently and as part of a team
