Job Description:
We are looking for a seasoned software professional to join our SAAS development team. This engineer will design, and develop core areas and features for the WideOrbit Central product line. Working with a team of top engineers, the right candidate will take our advanced, scalable development and deployment infrastructure to the next level using modern technologies like J2EE, web-services, SAAS, Java, Hibernate, Spring, JDBC, XML, SQL, JavaScript, AJAX, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
� Design, develop and unit test new features for the WideOrbit Central Product suite
� Improve current architecture and design to meet ever increasing demand on performance and scalability
� Work with product management, QA, and documentation to deliver high quality, complete software releases
� Work with support and project teams to maintain and improve WideOrbit software to meet current customer and project needs
� Enhance system infrastructure to enable WideOrbit Sales product to run more efficient
Skills/Qualifications
� The right candidate will have 6+ years of experience in software development companies building a complex, commercial, enterprise class product. In the Java/J2EE environment
� Experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable: web-services, analytics, high performance and high availability applications.
� Experience in doing software design to solve complex, highly challenging business problems
� Proven skills in using object oriented approaches based on Java, EJB, Servlets.
� Experience with Hibernate, SOAP, POJOs, Ant, JUnit, WebLogic or equivalent. Experience in Internet technologies - HTTP, HTML, XML, web server, server-side Java and Database programming experience
� Excellent technical, problem solving, and communications skills
� At least one significant stint in a mature engineering organization building packaged software products at leading engineering companies required. Experience in a fast paced startup environment with short, quick product life cycles very desirable.
� Must be a great team player and a highly motivated self-starter
� A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field is required
� Experience writing code for multi-threaded environments; both client UI and server framework.
� Good algorithmic skills and experience applying design patterns to both new and existing code
� Willingness to thoroughly unit test and debug complex code that you, or others, may write.
� Experience with other programming tools, languages and protocols a plus.
� Eager to learn new tools, languages and protocols is a big plus.
Location:
This position will be based in our San Francisco headquarters which is in Levi's Plaza.
