Job Description:
The Inside Sales Specialist will engage with customers and accounts via phone and email, uncovering new sales opportunities and following up on leads from Marketing, Customer Service and Technical Service. Inside Sales Specialists partner with Field Sales Representatives to facilitate Custom and OEM opportunities and other complex sales where a team effort is required. They also serve as a liaison between customers and team members in Marketing, R&D, Production, Customer Service and Shipping.

Description of Duties:
Use phone, email, and social media channels to network toward decision-makers, nurture relationships and move contacts toward a purchase.
Execute on strategies for obtaining new customers and maintaining/growing existing customer accounts to meet, and preferably exceed, revenue goals.
Use NetSuite and Salesforce to document all customer communications, issue accurate quotes, and track sales outcomes.
Provide clear, professional communications with internal teams to ensure efficient execution of customer orders.
Conduct web-based research to characterize customer organizations (e.g., mapping ship-to addresses to departments and units) and work with contacts at each account to understand purchasing mechanisms and how the organization is structured.
Use forecasting tools to provide accurate predictions of future sales in the territory.
Provide recommendations and customer feedback to Quality Assurance, Marketing and Product Development teams.

Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in life science-related field required.
Life science laboratory research experience preferred.
Sales experience or other indication of sales aptitude highly desirable.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Outstanding relationship-building and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to solve problems and work effectively in a team environment
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; proficiency with NetSuite and Salesforce preferred.
