Sr. QA/Support Software Engineer (Local Candidates Please) (Must be able to read and write with OOP)
Description
EcoFactor is seeking a QA/Support Software Engineer to join its software engineering team. Our robust SaaS system constitutes a wide range of open-source software designed for high volume and rapid growth. Successful candidate must be a self-starter, problem solver and team player.
Responsibilities
¨ Perform QA and production support for our Java-based SaaS applications
¨ Help adopt best-practice technologies for QA and production support
¨ Help establish QA, deployment and production support process to fit into overall software development lifecycle
¨ Participate in documentation, QA, systems integration and deployment
¨ Work with product development, engineering staff to review functionality requirements and help establish test plans
¨ Work with customer support staff to help resolve usability issues
Requirements
¨ BS or equivalent experience with 4+ yrs industry experience as support/QA software engineer
¨ Hands-on experience in:
o Supporting large-scale SaaS applications on production system
o Performing QA and release management of complex Java-based applications on Linux platform
o JUnit testing
o Testing tool such as Selenium
¨ Knowledge in the followings:
o Clustered Java application servers
o JMS, Spring, Hibernate/JPA
o RESTful Web services
o UI/Portal application, AJAX/Javascript
o SQL and RDBMS
o General networking and security standards
¨ Experience in Java server configuration and deployment preferred
¨ Experience with embedded software/firmware testing a plus
¨ Knowledge in application server clustering, load-balancing a plus
