Equity Search Partners has been retained to find an outstanding VP of Engineering for an innovative Palo Alto startup delivering a unique mobile health platform addressing the 25M people (in the US alone) living with diabetes. This company's products are being delivered direct to consumers (B2B) today and will be delivered through innovative partnerships with the major healthcare constituencies (B2B2C). The company has raised $4.5M to date.
Key Responsibilities for This Position Include:
>> Lead, manage, motivate, recruit and retain a growing team of young, top-tier engineers.
>> Plan, structure and lead both the day-to-day and long-term engineering functions.
>> Work with the Founder and product management to define and prioritize new product features and agree to appropriate timelines for subsequent releases.
>> BS degree in Computer Science from a top University.
Key Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Personal Characteristics Include:
>> A proven, dynamic leader with demonstrable success motivating and growing a top-tier engineering team that has delivered commercially successful products.
>> Very strong leadership skills that will gain the immediate respect of the team, inspire trust, and build internal relationships.
>> Will have the skills and knowledge to be credible in complex technical discussions, presentations, and negotiations.
>> Previous Director or VP of Engineering experience at a VC-backed startup and the passion to jump into another early-stage company.
