Renesas is looking for a Webmaster in Santa Clara, California. This dynamic position requires a detail-oriented, organized team player who possesses an enthusiasm for web technology; excellent communication skills; design sensibility and web design capabilities; at least 7-10 years of full-time web development experience; knowledge of at least HTML, CSS, JavaScript and ASP.NET technologies is required. The ability to work both independently and effectively with others is a necessary qualification, as are excellent communication and writing skills. The successful candidate will be an experienced, enthusiastic, and creative Webmaster will be providing web contents management, maintenance, support, and reporting including the following tasks:
• Responsible for managing and approving all content posted to Renesas internets, intranets, and extranets public site and member portal.
• Maintaining and updating website content, using Alfresco content management system.
• Coordinates with all information resources to ensure that the Renesas has a high quality, integrated, up-to-date Web presence.
• Establishes and maintains strong content relationships with all Renesas teams to stay abreast of essential electronic content issues.
• Work with Global Web team to align content, process and technology dependencies.
• Reviews, edits, writes and formats all content submitted for inclusion in the web properties to ensure consistency in level of detail and style. Content will be provided by the System Business Owners and edited by the Content Manager to conform to the desired utility of the intranet to serve end users.
• Drive acquisition of new content; ensure all content (especially product) is accurate and up to date
• Maintains and updates style guide
• Verifying contents before publishing and ensuring all content updates are functioning properly.
• Maintains Renesas content at partner Websites (ex: Avnet, Arrow, Future)
• Ensuring content consistency and compliance throughout all parts of the website(s)
• Identifies Web audiences and establish appropriate content parameters to address their needs.
• Supporting ad hoc initiatives by creating/modifying compelling visual campaigns, animations, and graphics design
• Ensuring that all design elements and templates work within a variety of browser types and screen settings
• Working with project team on functional designs that include digital goals and metrics
• Collecting, analyzing, recommending and reporting online report metrics
• HTML authoring.
• Develop and conduct maintenance procedures.
• Assist in site promotion – (SEO).
• Responsible for creating and maintaining traffic tracking system that allows business users to monitor the progress of pending jobs.
• Maintain the search engine index.
• Monitor the error logs and report potential problems and suggest improvements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business MIS Degree or equivalent experience

Experience

• Previous website maintenance experience using a Content Management System (CMS)
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver

Skills

• Keen eye for detail
• Excellent communication skills, good design sense and a creative outlook
• Understanding of Web development practices, the software development life cycle, and development in accordance with industry best practices and standards
• Experience with Alfresco Content Management System a plus.
