Technical Support Specialist - Windows

1 month +contract
This position is a second level customer support role providing a professional example, guidance, training, encouragement, correction and operational instruction while supporting customers and the Service Desk Analysts who work on the IT Service Desk.
This position requires good communication skills to interact with vendors and personnel, at all levels throughout the company, to escalate and resolve issues.
Create hardware independent image for both Windows XP and Windows 7 operating systems.
Knowledge of VBScript for client management and configuration.
Extensive knowledge of the Windows registry for both configuration and security.
Several years of experience with desktop operating systems including Microsoft Windows XP and Windows 7
Experience with the Microsoft Windows 2003 server operating system including file servers, print servers, web servers and core services such as DNS, DHCP, WINS, Group Policy, and Active Directory. •
Knowledge of Symantec Endpoint Protection server and client configuration and administration. • Extensive knowledge of hardware to include assembly and testing of workstations and peripherals.
Experience as a technical lead or supervisory position.
Good to have MCSE or MCSA or A+ certification or Equivalent experience.
