Job Purpose:
Lead and manage a design and verification team for SoC chips with deep sub-micron process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the SoC design and verification team
- Motivate and coach the design and verification team for delivering high-performance, low-power and low-cost SoC chips
- Drive the design, verification and implementation methodology and flow
- Develop IP design and integration methodology;
- Interact with system and software engineering team on a regular basis for product requirements, feasibility and development plan
- Grow people and develop the group for stability, quality and execution effectiveness and efficiency
• Closely work with Project Managers to drive the IC from specification into the production
- Architecture / specification
- Design / Verification / Validation
- System testing / debugging / integration
- Documentation / training
• Responsible for the design service and IP vendor management
- Qualification / Rating
- Inspections / Verifications
- Corrective action / improvement
• Closely work with Marketing, System engineering, and other divisions
- Working with Marketing in MRD / PRD review and product definition
- Working with System Engineering in product migration from core technology to system engineering
- Working with Finance in budget and expense control
- Working with Quality in system testing and continuously improving the product quality
- Working with Operation in SoC production and delivery
Specification:
Required:
• MSEE Degree
• 8 years experience in the hands-on ASIC/SoC Design
• 5 years experience in management with responsibility for SoC projects
• Intensive knowledge and experiences of ASIC/SoC Design from front-end to back-end (RTL, Synthesis, STA, floor-plan, P&R, package, testing, etc.)
• Extensive knowledge of embedded system and consumer electronics products
• Skills and experiences for SoC feasibility investigation, cost estimation and project planning
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Strong leadership in SoC team and project management.
• Ability to work in stressful situations
• Must have Mandarin Chinese and English language skills.
Desired:
• Experience in a large, complex organization or corporate structure environment
• Skills and experiences for SoC architecture and performance evaluation
• Knowledge and experiences for FPGA-based validation platform development
• Basic knowledge for packaging development and end-to-end SI/PI simulation
