Summary
This role requires design of a distributed, highly scalable data management application. An individual in this position serves as an expert in scalable, web accessible, data intensive applications. This is a distinguished role in our software development team.
Key Responsibilities:
Help design a robust, highly scalable implementation of a data service based on Web 2.0 technologies and implementing the TCG's IF-MAP standard for pub/sub/search.
Create innovative solutions to customer requirements by integrating third-party vendor products with Infoblox's IF-MAP data service. Expand product interoperability with other products and platforms.
Serve as domain expert in IF-MAP and scalable, data intensive applications.
Provide architectural guidance and advanced technology development for these new product initiatives
Interact with protocol standards bodies and the open source community as needed
Provide technical oversight and mentoring to other engineers for assigned development projects
Skills & Requirements:
Knowledge and Experience:
12+ years of distinguished career in a software development role with 2+ years as a Principal engineer or Software Architect is required
Proven expertise in design and implementation of scalable, data intensive applications using Web 2.0 technologies
Strong understanding of data intensive concepts and technologies including databases, middleware, federation, MapReduce, SOAP/REST, sharding, authentication and authorization
Strong background in several programming languages including C, C++, Java, PERL, Python, Java, PHP
Experience with emerging platforms like Ruby, Clojure, Erlang, and XACML is definite plus.
Hands on experience with data warehousing and analytics is is definite plus. Experience with network security technologies also a plus.
