Senior Software Engineer
The Medsphere OpenVista team is expanding and looking for a seasoned developer with extensive healthcare IT experience. The ideal candidate will be positive, collaborative and self-motivated, and be willing to work through critical issues until resolution.
Qualifications
• 4 + years' experience in software engineering, desired
• 3 + years' experience with enterprise-wide, large scale systems development is highly preferred
• Expertise in a programming language required, with preference for C#/.NET
• Understanding of Java or Delphi a plus
• Expertise in one or more of the following, with a strong command in the others required:
• thick-client architecture,
• web services,
• operating systems and networking
• Experience configuring continuous integration for automated builds, unit and integration testing, and deployment
preferred
• Experience planning and leading team projects to completion with minimal guidance
• Experience in the health care services industry, preferred
Responsibilities
• As an individual contributor, tackle design and implementation for major feature enhancements and architectural redesigns
• Work collaboratively and effectively on team projects
• Demonstrate ability to complete engineering tasks on time and on target with minimal guidance
• Lead multi-person implementation projects to implement major functionality across components and teams
• Collaborate with PM to ensure that implementations align tightly with functional specifications
• Deliver high-quality code through comprehensive testing prior to delivery to QA
• Continually improve product functionality and individual/team productivity by introducing tools, methodologies, or ideas from staying current through reading professional journals, business periodicals, and social networks/blogs
