MedComm Solutions is a medium-sized, premier provider of Drug Information and consulting services to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. As a result of strong demand for our services, we currently have openings for a full-time software application administrator / programmer with excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills. The company is centrally located in Emeryville, with easy access to SF, Berkeley, and the East Bay.
The ideal candidate will be able to work well within a small IT group to provide programming solutions for a fast growing company with diverse client needs. Self motivation and a passion for programming are essential for this position. Customer service skills are a must; if you have the skills listed above and are considerate and conscientious then we want to talk to you.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Applicant must possess strong VBA and SQL skills in order to assist in the maintenance and upgrades to a Microsoft Access 2010 front end coupled with a SQL Server 2008 R2 backend. SQL Server administration (DBA) skills are a definite plus.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complex Data Maintenance / Application Administration
VBA Programming (ADO experience preferred)
T-SQL Programming (queries, stored procedures, etc.)
Microsoft Access Query Building (ad hoc)
SQL Server 2008 R2 familiarity (DBA skills a plus)
General Office Technical Support
